Equity of voice should always include the voices of those impacted by the decisions and policies designed. We must engage families in policy change. Families have lived experiences that give them power and insight as to what they need to thrive. Engaging families in policy change is one step toward disrupting and dismantling systemic and structural racism and inequities.
