Pre-Registration Readiness Self-Assessment
Pre-Registration Readiness Self-Assessment
Coming to Washington D.C. to take part in Mom Congress is a very powerful experience.
Some advocates are interested in attending because they had a negative maternity care experience, such as suffering from a preventable near-miss, or not being able to find care for maternal depression for example.
If this is your situation we require you to take this readiness assessment before registering.
1. Am I at least one year out from my negative maternity care experience?
Y/N
2. Have I received at least three sessions from a professional and/or formal counseling from a peer to process my experience?
Y/N
3. Am I ready to hear other stories about traumatic birth experiences?
Y/N
If you have answered No to any of the questions above, we recommend taking some additional time before attending Mom Congress due to the nature of the discussions planned.
We still invite you to follow along and enjoy the energy of this movement by joining as a Mom Congress member and member Facebook Group. Learn more.
Please know you are not alone if you need more time to process your experience before coming to a Mom Congress event in person. We look forward to supporting your advocacy journey in the safest, healthiest way possible.
